Hello! I am back with another skincare review! I have always had milia under my eyes, and it’s so hard to get rid of it! I’ve tried so many different products for it and so far none has work. Milia are tiny white bumps on your skin (a cyst) that forms when keratin (such as skin tissue, hair and nail cells) is muddled underneath the skin. More information about milia can be found here.
I searched online for any products that may help me get rid of my milia. I found the Amara Retinol Serum as one of the most effective products listed and convinced me to purchase it. I bought the serum on Ebay for $21 USD.
Here are more information on the product claims from the company website:
The picture here is provided with more information from the packaging which came in a box and the serum is contained in a small glass bottle with a pump.
The product consistency goes on clear tint yellow and almost gel-like. There’s no particular smell either, just a very faint herbal scent. It is recommended to apply this product at night with no exposure to sun so that your skin doesn’t affect sensitivity to sunlight (just as the package information printed above).
I apply the serum almost every night after cleansing and toning. The product is absorbed into my skin almost too quick leaving it unsatisfied and tight around my cheek area.
Unfortunately the Amara Retinol Serum was no match for my milia because it still remains under my eye and has not gone anywhere haha. The only pro for this product was that it maintained a clearer skin! I believe most of the claims for this product did deliver. I had no trouble with acne while using this serum but I wouldn’t prefer this product for a dry skin type (like mine). I would definitely love to try other Amara Organics products in the future!
I hope you found this review helpful! For anyone with milia, I would love to know what products work well under the eyes! If anyone has heard of Amara Organics and have tried their products let me know! I would love to hear from you! Thank you very much for reading! Till next time!
