Luna Long Lasting Tip Concealer in #03 Bright

Hello! I am back with another makeup review! I never really had any luck finding a really good concealer. I also wanted a concealer that makes my skin look brighter because I was mostly concerned about discoloration and dark circles around my eyes. I have seen the item the first time on YesStyle and I remember I bought it impulsively on Ebay for about $11 USD.

Luna is a South Korean beauty brand that represents “the latest Hallyu (Korean wave/ global popularity such as K-Pop or Korean Dramas) beauty trends through dermatologists tested makeup products” –YesStyle website.

The product came in a box and is contained in a thick plastic tube, which is compact and travel friendly. Everything in the description of the box is Korean. The scent is very very light, hardly noticeable but smells like fresh scent.

I had to look into multiple sources for information on the product which I found difficult because not even YesStyle has the ingredient list and the claims are very vague. So I found the claims on Amazon:

  • Volume: 7.5g (0.264 oz)
  • Perfect Cover: Keeps complexion flawless and crease-less. SPF28 PA++ Sun protection. All day long fade-free. Good coverage, long lasting, high moisturized.
  • Skin treatment with Vitamin E (soothes complexion), Portulaca extract (calms and moisturizes skin), chamomile (calms irritated skin). Tip brush included for hygienic application.

Finding the ingredients was especially difficult to find but I found it from the website CosDNA:

Purified Water,Titanium Dioxide, Cyclopentasiloxane,Phenyl Trimethicone,Talc,Butylene Glycol,Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone,PVP,Yellow Iron oxide,PEG-10 Dimethicone,Disteardimonium Hectorite,VINYL DIMETHICONE/
METHICONE SILSESQUIOXANE CROSSPOLYMER,Sodium chloride,Aluminum hydroxide,Triethoxycaprylylsilane,Red Iron oxide,Stearic Acid,Black Iron Oxide,Chlorphenesin,Methyl Paraben,Dimethicone,Butyl Paraben,Tocopheryl Acetate,Perfume,Sea Buckthorn,Centella Asiatica Extract,Portulaca Oleracea Extract,Chaste Tree,Chamomile Flower Extract

The long lasting tip concealer includes two another shade such as the  #1 Light Beige and #2 Natural Beige. Both has very limited shades but both product line contains SPF protection compared to their other concealer line.

The formula has a matte finish and the brightening effect is noticeable. What I mean by noticeable…

What have I created?!

The result is very obvious and the product has accomplished its claim. The concealer adjusted well with my skin, although I looked a bit ghostly in this image. I’d recommend using it after foundation or lightly apply it alone.

The formula in the concealer is long lasting as advertised, as well as brightening which is a very good thing. I would even recommend it for oily skin type, but sadly would not recommend for dry or very dry skin. My skin closeup was a bit flaky above my brows and some on the cheeks after applying.

The Luna long lasting tip concealer was a good product to try because it has a nice bright effect and it does not seem to budge even in water. I still use it sometimes alone or with a foundation and moisturizing spray. I probably won’t consider purchasing it just because my skin is not compatible to the concealer and the brand itself is so hard to find information about. The claim and ingredients is very vague and somewhat untrustworthy considering the sources I found for those claim and ingredients may be outsourced.

I hope you found this review helpful! Let me know if you have used the brand Luna before or what brightening concealer would you recommend for dry skin! Thank you for reading!

Till next time!
