Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50+/PA+++ Review

Hello! I am back with another review!! I was eyeing this makeup base for a while now and coincidentally my sunscreen ran out too! So I’m glad I finally got to try the Heimish Artless Glow Base! I have definitely seen this product a few times, especially on YesStyle. Heimish has also been a popular brand that I have seen everywhere, I think I first saw the brand on Soko Glam because of their All Clean Cleansing Balm. Their cleansing balm is pretty popular as well and I think that was also around the time I was discovering the amazing power of cleansing balms.

Heimish is a Korean beauty brand that features skincare and makeup. On their website, the brand “focuses on expressing a special attractiveness from the simple and ordinary. Beauty that appeals to everyone, catching the eyes of the many through our soft and natural makeup line”.

According to the YesStyle website, Heimish is also cruelty-free! I definitely like the simple aesthetic design in their packaging. I bought the product for about $17-18 USD for 40ml at YesStyle and the prices seem to fluctuate every now and then. The normal price would be around $20 USD. I received the product last month on June and have used it since.

The packaging was different from the YesStyle page:

Here are the claims, directions and ingredients all in one side of the box in the packaging:

Ingredients exactly the same from the YesStyle and Heimish website

I was enticed by this product because of the claims for glow-y finish, hydrating formula and the multitasking sun protection! I noticed there is niacinamide in the ingredients which is an ingredient I have seen everywhere and beauty influencers praise by. Niacinamide in skincare is pretty much a multitasking ingredient used for minimizing wrinkles, brighten dark spots, treat acne and blemishes and overall protecting the skin barrier (source). Being a skincare and beauty lover has definitely made me more aware of ingredients in products and I am proud to say that I am learning little by little about it. I still don’t know most of the ingredients used but I will share as much as I can each time I review products!

My impressions:

The packaging is simple, I like the holographic box. The new bottle compared to the old design looked skinnier and longer but still the same amount 40ml.

Swatches of the glow base. I left enough product to still look visible when completely absorbed into the skin.

The scent is pleasant, it has a sweet and floral fragrance and doesn’t linger too long. The scent eventually softens that you can smell it faintly. The texture is very light and a bit liquid-y like a serum or essence yet creamy and spreadable. The color also has a pink tint. When I applied the base, my hands felt instantly softer. The product has some tiny glitter particles that give the glow-y effect.

Product on the left VS the right

As you can see in the image above when I compared my hands with the product and the one without, there isn’t any noticeable changes in the picture. In person, the base does lighten it very slightly. Among the other primers I have tried, the Heimish Artless Glow Base might be one of my newfound favorite especially because it is multitasking as a sunscreen. My face feel moisturized throughout the day but with the foundation I currently use, it is hard to say because I have some light dry patches around my cheeks and the products may not be working with each other. As I said, it’s very light patches and nothing I would fuss about. I like using the glow base and. I see myself repurchasing this product in the future. Especially because the base is within my budget. I’m very glad I got to finally try out one of the products from Heimish and I look forward to trying out more of the brand’s products!

I hope you found this review helpful. Have you tried the Heimish Artless Glow Base? What do you think? What’s your favorite Heimish products? Let me know! Thank you so much for reading! Till next time!
